10.4.1 Sample title page for dissertations and student project reports

THIS POLICY IS CURRENTLY UNDER REVIEW -

Requirements for presenting theses are detailed on the Research Students Centre web page.

The following standards apply to presentation of dissertations and project reports.

  • The title page includes the title in full, the full name of the student and the school and faculty in which the work was submitted, the award for which the work was submitted and the date. A sample title page is given below.
  • Binding should be of an acceptable standard, eg full cloth, or card covers stapled with a heavy duty stapler and spine taped with cloth tape (eg Venhart Rayon Cloth Tape). Binding methods which use sleeve screws on metal slides, prongs, plastic strips, spirals or heat treated glue are not acceptable.

Some faculties arrange for card covers to be available for purchase from the Bookshop.
