7.3.1 Salary levels
Salary levels are contained in the relevant enterprise bargaining agreements as follows:

7.3.2 Payment of salaries
Salaries are paid into financial institution accounts on a fortnightly basis. Relevant forms and further
information are available from the
Finance and Resource Planning
website.

7.3.3 Allowances
Provisions relating to the following allowances for professional staff are contained in the QUT
Enterprise
Bargaining Agreement (Professional Staff)
:
-
higher duties allowance
-
meal allowances during overtime
-
first aid allowance
-
sanitary allowance
-
tool allowance
-
field trip allowance
-
mileage for use of privately owned vehicles.
Provisions relating to the payment of higher duties
allowance for academic staff are contained in the
QUT
Enterprise Bargaining Agreement (Academic Staff)
.
The following allowances are available to staff
in appropriate circumstances, and provisions for payment of the allowances, including amounts payable,
are available from the
Human Resources
Department
website:

Travelling - Australia and international - all staff
-
Mileage for use of privately owned vehicles – all staff
-
Travel away from home allowance(PDL) and limits on private income - academic staff only
-
Field trip allowance for academic staff (for field trip allowance for professional staff, see above);
-
Settling-in allowance – all staff.
Travel and mileage allowances are set by the Human Resources Director in accordance with rates determined
by the Australian Taxation Office. Other allowances are varied from time to time by the Vice-Chancellor.

7.3.4 Flexible Remuneration Scheme
The parameters of the flexible remuneration scheme are contained in the enterprise bargaining agreements as follows:

There is a 50% maximum of total employment cost or total remuneration for salary sacrificing all benefits, except for superannuation where there is no maximum. Information on salary sacrificing of superannuation is available from the
