QUT Statute No. 6 (Rules) 1999

1. Short Title

This Statute may be cited as the Rules Statute 1999.

2. Commencement

This Statute commences on the commencement of section 56 of the Queensland University of Technology Act 1998.

3. Definition

" Registrar " means the University's Chief Administrative Officer.

4. Rule Making and Notification

(1) Council may make University Rules under a University Statute.

(2) By resolution, Council may amend or rescind any rule.

(3) Where a rule has been made or amended by Council, the Registrar will -

  1. post a copy of the rule on the QUT notice boards specified by the Registrar; and
  2. publish the rule to QUT staff and students in a manner as the Registrar directs.

(4) Where a rule has been rescinded, the Registrar will issue a notice to that effect, and

  1. post a copy of the notice on any notice boards within QUT as the Registrar specifies; and
  2. publish the notice to QUT staff and students in a manner as the Registrar directs.
