1. Short Title

This statute may be cited as the Queensland University of Technology Statute No. 3 (Fees) 2003.

2. Fees to be paid to the university

Council may make rules for payment of fees and charges to the university for -

  1. examinations; or
  2. attendance at lectures and classes of the university; or
  3. use of the university's facilities.

3. Consequences of non-payment

(1) A student is not validly enrolled unless all fees and charges specified in student rules have been paid.

(2) Any person who fails to pay any other fees and charges for use of the university's facilities incurs a debt to the university.

4. Exemption or deferment of payment

Council may make rules -

  1. granting exemption from payment of fees and charges in full or in part; or
  2. permitting payment of fees and charges to be deferred for a period of time.

5. Repeal of Fees Statute 1999

Queensland University of Technology Statute No. 3 (Fees) 1999 is repealed.
